I've always admired the likes of Henri Cartier-Bresson and his ability to capture the that decisive moment and the quirky. So when the opportunity arose to head over to Valletta, Malta, for a bit of street photography and fun, with a few other photographers, I just couldn't resist a long weekend escape.
It's always nice to step back from my usual commercial, press and PR photography, take the old bus-man's holiday and just be there in the moment, watching and waiting with no pressures, just raw photography...
This was January 2020, just pre-lockdown, yes I know it's been a while - even longer since my last blog! But hey, when better than the anniversary of this trip to show off these photos I love so much, that have been hiding away on my hard-drive!
Gear check... Canon 5D mkIII, a Canon 24-70mm 2.8 lens and battery charger, that's it.
